prepin' the Favas -- June 25, 2011



If it is June, must be time to shell some fava beans.





Six pounds of fava beans, in the shell, I got a bit carried away. 20 bucks worth.








After shelling, but that thin skin still needs to be removed, oh geez.

















I know you got favas up there...















please, oh please - just one fava...












Finally, 2 hours later - favas that are ready to eat.
